Steve Bruce is willing to let some of his fringe players leave Villa park this January, to help make way for his top target Axel Tuanzebe, according to a report.
The Birmingham Mail report that a number of players amongst the Villa ranks would be able to find new ventures, having already received offers for a few.
The Midlands outfit have received interest in Easah Suliman, Birkir Bjarnason and Aaron Tshiboa – but are reluctant to let the trio leave, unless the price is right.
However, the report does indicate that Bruce will allow Tommy Elphick to leave the club, as he continues to chase Manchester United centre-half Axel Tuanzebe.
It has been reported that Mourinho is open to loaning out the talented defender, as he cannot give him the minutes he needs to develop currently.
Football Insider verdict:
Aston Villa are heavily restricted by the Finanical Fair Play regulations, so can realistically only bring in players via means of a loan deal – unless they sell to buy. A number of fringe players who are not getting regular minutes would be benefitted by moving away, and this then works well for Villa, who would be able to secure Tuanzebe on a temporary basis. Bruce has a number of talented defenders who Tuanzebe could learn from, but it does not seem likely to happen unless Villa makes some room for him amongst their ranks.
