Report details what Leeds are second best at in the Championship
By Matt Farr
Leeds are the second most effective Championship side from set-pieces this season, according to a report.
The Express claim Leeds have scored the second highest number of goals from set pieces across the 38 Championship games this season.
It is believed that they have scored an incredible 21 goals from set-pieces, equal to promotion rivals Newcastle; while only Cardiff (23) have proven more deadly.
Leeds fans are likely to be thrilled by the statistic, which suggests that their side are making the most of their opportunities in front of goal.
The difference between winning and losing games can often be determined by a well-taken set piece, but such an opportunity could also determine the outcome of this year’s Championship promotion race.

There is very little to separate a number of the sides currently competing for promotion this term, and it could well come down to one goal or one free kick.
But Leeds manager Garry Monk has ensured that the team put in the necessary work on the training ground to make the most out of their set-pieces, and has the resources at his disposal to do just that.
Monk has a number of players up his sleeve that can be a real nuisance to opposition, particularly from corners, with Chris Wood, Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jansson towering above their team-mates in height.
Bartley, for example, has scored each of his four goals this season from set-piece situations.
Meanwhile, Pablo Hernandez is an adept free-kick and corner taker, and can both deliver pinpoint crosses into the area and find the back of the net on demand.
But Leeds fans will be hoping to see their side maintain their impressive record heading into the final eight games of the season.
They currently sit fourth in the Championship, and hold just an eight point cushion over seventh-placed Fulham.
