Report names Tottenham starlet on verge of breaking into senior side
Tottenham youngster Tashan Oakley Booth is the academy graduate who is closest to breaking into the senior squad after establishing himself as a potential option to Mauricio Pochettino, according to a report.
Football news wesbite football.london claim on their website that the 18-year-old is already regularly training with the first team at Spurs, and that he has been included as a reserve player for first team squads in case of injuries to any of the senior stars.
The central midfield starlet has already made his debut for the first team, with Pochettino handing him a substitute appearance against Barnsley in the League Cup earlier in the season, although he turned out for just one minute of action, while he was an unused substitute against Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League.
However, while there are other young talents with more minutes under their belts, it is Oakley Boothe who has reportedly impressed enough to be considered for a role in the first team, and has already been travelling with the club to Premier League games.
He has also featured for the under-19 side in the UEFA Youth League, as well as the Premier League 2 for the under-23s, while he has international experience at both under-17 and under-18 level for England.
It is said that fellow youngster Kazaiah Sterling has also been a part of the senior side’s training sessions at times throughout the season, but not as regularly as Oakley Boothe.
