Swansea City have emerged as a rival to Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signature of AC Milan striker Andre Silva, according to a report.
Wales Online believe that the Swans are willing to meet the £32m fee it would take AC Milan to part with their forward.
Only 48-hours ago it was revealed that Wolves were joint-favourites for Silva, who has six goals to his name for the Serie A side.
But it now seems that the Premier League side have stolen a lead on the Championship club and want the Portuguese star to help them better the 14 goals they have totalled this season.
Football Insider verdict:
If the former Porto ace is sensible he will turn down any offer from Swansea who despite making a late fight in their bid for survival, are likely to be relegated. Wolves are heading for the Premier League and unless a miracle occurs they won’t have long to wait until they are promoted. With an excellent manager and a supportive board, Silva could be a hit in the Midlands and have a potent attack to support his style of play. Wolves have not lost out just yet so expect the club to stay in the running for the striker who has six goals in six Europa League outings for AC Milan.
In other Wolves transfer news, the club may sanction the sale of defender with PL clubs interested.
