Liverpool are set to lose German international midfielder Emre Can this summer as rumours persist of an exit to European giants Juventus, according to a report.
The Sun has said that representatives of the Turin club arrived at Anfield on Sunday ahead of the Reds clash against Tottenham in the Premier League.
Can, 24, has been linked with a move away from Merseyside for some time now after failing to sign a new deal at the club and can now leave Anfield for free in the summer.
The German has been an important part of the Liverpool set-up this season but only at the end of last month Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp, admitted defeat in the quest to attempt to keep the midfielder.
Football Insider verdict:
It would seem that all hope is lost for Liverpool with regards to trying to retain the services of Can. The only question is how much the uncertainty surrounding the future of the German will affect his performances in the final run in to the end of the season. With a key role to play in Joachim Low’s international team for the World Cup, you would think that the 24-year-old will continue the form that has made him one of the best players in the league this season and it remains to be seen who Klopp and co. will turn to in order to replace him.
