Report: West Ham summer signing open to La Liga move, player sends agent to Spain
By Aramide Oladipo
West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez is looking to move away from the East London club, according to a report.
Spanish outlet Don Balon reports that the 29-year-old has sent his agent to travel to Spain in order to accelerate his move away from the London Stadium just months after securing a permanent deal with the Hammers.
The report claims that the Mexico international is interested in joining La Liga sides Valencia or Sevilla in an attempt to stay closer to his girlfriend Andrea Diro who is a Spanish actress.
It is reported that Hernandez is worried that his relationship could take a turn for the worst if he refuses to live in Spain with his partner.
The striker only secured a move to the Premier League in the summer with West Ham spending a reported fee of £16million to acquire his services from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

The forward has enjoyed a fine start to his West Ham career, contributing with three goals in all competitions and he is currently the club’s joint top goalscorer alongside Diafra Sakho.
However, Hernandez appeared to be unimpressed when he was substituted in the previous league victory against Swansea City last weekend.
The Mexican currently has three years remaining on his contract with the Hammers.
Football Insider verdict
This could potentially turn out to be a very tricky situation for the Hammers. It is highly possible that Hernandez would be willing to do everything that he can to secure a settled situation off the pitch even if that means cutting his West Ham career short. With Slaven Bilic’s men failing to hit the heights in the early stages of the season, it could have an impact on the striker and he might be under the impression that he has made the wrong move. In order to quell speculation surrounding their talisman’s future, the Hammers must get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
