Yet another stunning bid tabled by title-holders for Rangers player - report

Rangers have received a second bid from Chinese Super League title-holders GZ Evergrande FC for striker Alfredo Morelos, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun claims that the Light Blues are considering their options after the Far East club tabled a “stunning” offer worth £6.5million for Morelos, 21, after an initial offer worth £5.3million had been kicked into touch.
It is understood that Rangers manager Graeme Murty is now considering his options and may be drawn into offloading Morelos before the transfer deadline on Wednesday night if he can find a replacement.
The Gers signed Morelos from HJK Helsinki for £1million in the summer and he is one of just a handful of Pedro Caixinha’s signings to have hit the ground running at Ibrox.
The Colombian forward has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Light Blues, scoring 13 goals in the process and is also widely reported to be attracting attention from south of the border.
Football Insider verdict
Morelos is a good player and Rangers should not sell him – yet. The Colombian is the leading goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership, even though he has shown that he is prone to the odd goal drought. His quality in front of goal is irreplaceable at this stage in the transfer window and there’s little chance Murty and Mark Allen will be able to find a replacement in time for 11pm on Wednesday. The Gers play against Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup on Wednesday night too, so that game will take up a lot of time if they were forced into finding a replacement. The best option is to reject any bids for now and hope that similar, if not better, offers come in over the summer.
