Manchester City winger Jack Harrison is eager to return to Leeds United for a second season, Football Insider understands.
The Yorkshire giants are keen to wrap up an early window deal for the 22-year-old even though his 2018-19 loan produced mixed results.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa is convinced Harrison can be moulded into a consistent matchwinner and instructed the club to try and sign him before the return to pre-season training.
A source with knowledge of the player’s situation has told Football Insider that Harrison, in turn, believes a return to Elland Road for a second loan would be idea for his career development.
He is aware he is well down the pecking order at City and believes he can learn from the shrewd coaching of Bielsa and his staff.
As reported by Football Insider, Bielsa wants at least two signings “in the building” by the end of the month, before the first week of pre-season training is complete.
Harrison’s stance about an early window move will be immensely encouraging to Leeds and Bielsa, who are waiting on the green light from City to sanction what would be a third consecutive Championship loan for the player.
He joined City from their sister club New York City in January of last year before he was immediately loaned out to Middlesbrough for the second half of 2017-18, and then spent last season at Elland Road, scoring four goals and supplying four assists from 42 Championship appearances.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that the club have rejected a bid for a senior star.
