Revealed: What Tim Vickery has told pundit about Pochettino quitting PSG for Man United this week
Tottenham insider John Wenham has been told by Sky Sports’ Tim Vickery that Mauricio Pochettino won’t quit PSG for Man United this week or any point midway through the season.
Wenham regularly breaks news about Tottenham on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels and is well connected to the club.
Man United are looking for a new manager after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday.
A club statement confirmed the Red Devils are looking for an interim coach to lead the club for the rest of the season.
PSG boss Pochettino, 49, has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
The former Spurs boss was a topic of conversation on the Last Word On Spurs podcast last week, on which Wenham and Vickery were both guests.
Sky Sports’ South America expert Vickery gave Wenham his opinion on whether Pochettino would swap Paris for Manchester midway through the season.
“I actually did a podcast with Tim Vickery last week. He’s Sky Sports’ South America expert,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He made it very, very clear that he doesn’t think Pochettino will go anywhere this season.
“He said Pochettino has wanted to work with Messi for his entire career and he doesn’t want to lose that opportunity.
“Pochettino is also an ex-PSG player and he knows he has a real chance to win the Champions League with PSG this season.
“Obviously Man United don’t have the same chance of winning silverware this season.

“PSG have some incredible players, Marquinhos, Veratti, Donnarumma, just to name a few.
“It was made clear that there was basically no chance of Poch quitting midway through the season.”
In other news, a Man United source has told Football Insider the club will hold manager talks with one candidate today.
