Richard Keys has this message for West Ham after Bilic bombshell

By Amir Mir

Richard Keys has urged West Ham to sell wantaway playmaker Dimitri Payet before he “ruins the season”.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic dropped a bombshell on Thursday morning when he revealed that the 29-year-old does not want to play for the club.

The Croatian insisted that the east London club have no intentions of selling their star player as they bid to improve their poor Premier League campaign.

Bilic’s side welcome 17th-placed Crystal Palace to the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon, eight days after they were thrashed 5-0 by Manchester City in the FA Cup on home soil.

After a successful debut campaign under Bilic last term where they finished in a European place, West Ham have struggled for consistency and form this time round.

Payet has been one of those players who has found it difficult to replicate the dizzy heights of the previous campaign.

After his refusal to play, former Sky Sports presenter had this simple message for the club as posted on his personal Twitter account.

Since the news broke from Bilic about Payet, reports in the media now suggest that his former club Marseille are interested in taking him back as they have rejected a bid.

Payet left the Ligue 1 club during the summer of 2015 when he signed a £10 million deal with his current side.

In 66 games the France international has scored 18 goals and provided 25 assists as he has also proved to be a free-kick specialist.

In other West Ham news, former player Trevor Sinclair has slammed Dimitri Payet.
