‘Ridiculous’ – Don Hutchison rips Crystal Palace ace to shreds after what he did vs Dynamo Kyiv

Oliver Glasner will be extremely disappointed with one of his players despite Crystal Palace securing a victory against Dynamo Kyiv.

Palace were high from victory against Liverpool before travelling to Poland on Thursday, 2 October, with the hero, Eddie Nketiah, on the scoresheet once again in the 2-0 win away from Selhurst Park.

Daniel Munoz opened the scoring with a fine looping header in the first half, and the Eagles’ manager will have been largely satisfied by the performance, with their opposition limited to just one shot on target.

Referee Lothar D’hondt made some questionable decisions during the 90 minutes, but there was very little arguing against his decision that could have changed the course of the game in the 76th minute.

Borna Sosa gets himself sent off against Dynamo Kyiv

Just 14 minutes from full-time, Borna Sosa picked up his second yellow card of the game, having been cautioned for a poor foul just two minutes before launching into another challenge.

This time, he caught the opposition right-back high on the ankle, earning himself a very quick sending-off, and putting Palace under some unneeded pressure at the end of their victory.

Speaking live on TNT Sports (2 October, 7:26pm), Don Hutchison said: “A ridiculous yellow card. You’re cruising away from home and winning 2-0. Just stay out of the tackle,” and he was spot on.

It also means that the full-back, who featured primarily in competitions other than the Premier League, will be unavailable for the Eagles’ next fixture in Europe.

Oliver Glasner continues to stun as Crystal Palace boss

Despite the red card, Palace are now 19 games unbeaten, and it is becoming clearer and clearer why Man United want Glasner to replace Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.

The 51-year-old has now won 35 of his 72 games in charge, and as well as winning for the first time in Europe, the Eagles are also sitting third in the Premier League table after six matches.

There will be a massive worry that the manager could be attracted by a bigger club in the next couple of years, but if Palace can prove themselves in Europe, that might be enough satisfaction for his career.

Of course, Eberechi Eze has already left for new pastures, with Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton possibly the next players to leave, so it would not be a surprise to see Glasner move on as well.
