Joe Gomez has heaped praise on Mohamed Salah after the Eqyptian scored his 15th goal for Liverpool in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Talking with the official club site, the young defender singled out Salah for praise but acknowledged everybody knows the Reds have a “quality” front-line
“It’s ridiculous,” admitted Gomez before continuing, “he’s come in and he’s been a massive addition to us, unbelievable.”
The England international revealed that he was praising his teammates not just because of the goals the 25-year-old scores, but because of “his general play” and his ability to “link-up” with his teammates.
Salah has been in superb form for the Reds since moving from AS Roma in July 2017, making 20 appearances across all competitions.
Along with his 15 goals for the club, the winger has registered four assists equaling the amount he had across his entire Chelsea career.
The Eqypt international had a terrible time during his first spell in the Premier League making only 19 appearances with the Blues in 2014.
Salah’s goal against his former club in his last game, was cancelled out by Willan’s late equaliser, but has help Liverpool stay sixth in the table with 23 points from 13 games.
The 25-year-old will be hoping to continue his goalscoring form in Liverpool’s next game against Stoke City on Wednesday.
In other Liverpool news, Stan Collymore labelled a current Reds star refreshing because of the way he plays.
