Stan Collymore has revealed that he loves Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah because he runs directly with the ball, making him different from most modern footballers.
The outspoken pundit shared his admiration on Twitter during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea and had a few fans agreeing, but was met with fans of other clubs suggesting he had forgotten about several Premier League players.
Love Mo Salah. In the banal pass pass pass without responsibility of modern football, so refreshing to see players who run with the ball with such confidence.

The former Reds player berated modern football as just being “banal pass pass pass” and that Salah’s ability to run with the ball was “refreshing.”
Fans responded to the 46-year-old bemused at his suggestion that Salah was different:
Yeh Sane, Sterling, Hazard, Sanchez, Rashford, Mane…everyone just passes for passes sake..

Fans named Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Watford’s Richarlison, Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane; with one fan even naming Salah’s teammate Sadio Mane as a player who likes to run.
While fans debated with Collymore about other players in the league similar to Salah, the Egyptian didn’t just have the pundit buzzing but Reds fan too.
It was Salah who scored Liverpool’s only goal against Chelsea, which would have got them all three points if it wasn’t for Willian equalising for Chelsea with a fluky effort late on.
The 25-year-old moved to the Reds in July 2017 from AS Roma and has scored 15 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.
Salah will aim to grab his 16th goal of the season on Wednesday, when Liverpool face Stoke City.
In other Liverpool news, Antonio Conte declared himself a big fan of Salah
