Ridvan Yilmaz responds to Rangers exit links with six-word message to fans
Ridvan Yilmaz has sent Rangers fans a message about his future at the club on social media following their 3-1 win against Dundee United.
The 23-year-old was an absentee from the matchday squad as Philippe Clement’s side gained another three points on the road amid ongoing speculation about his future.
Yilmaz has been a regular in the side so far this year amid a shortage of depth across the pitch, often filling in on the wing or at right-back during his 20 appearances.
He had been heavily linked with a return to Turkey since the summer, with that interest lingering despite Football Insider’s report that Rangers are not willing to sell.
Clement clarified after the game at Tannadice Park that the left-back had missed out through injury rather than because of any impending move away from Ibrox.
Ridvan Yilmaz sends Rangers fans message after absence v Dundee United
Yilmaz’s absence from the Dundee United clash came a shock to many, leading to suggestions that he was already on his way to complete a move away from Rangers.
Speculation about the defender’s long-term future in Scotland has been rife, with Besiktas and Galatasaray both heavily linked with a move before the transfer deadline.
He has also been criticised by supporters for a number of inconsistent displays at Ibrox since emerging into the starting XI under Clement last season.
However, any suggestion of an imminent departure were quickly squashed by the full-back as he shared a new message to supporters on Instagram.

The post read “Here in Glasgow with Glasgow Rangers” alongside a blue heart emoji – reaffirming his commitment to the club and desire to stay at Ibrox.
