Robby McCrorie will seek assurances over his position at Rangers after Allan McGregor signed a new deal.
That is according to ex-Aberdeen and Leeds United striker Noel Whelan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 24-year-old potentially exiting Ibrox this summer.
According to The Sun (18 June), new Man United manager Erik ten Hag is interested in luring McCrorie away from Rangers.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side are said to be braced for bids for the shot-stopper.
On Monday (20 June), the Gers announced that McGregor had put pen to paper on a new one-year deal at Ibrox.
When asked by Football Insider if McGregor’s new deal is problematic for McCrorie, Whelan said: “Young players wants to push out the first teamers.

“I’m sure McCrorie will be seeking assurances from the club after seeing McGregor sign a new contract. He will want to know when his time is coming.
“If not he will start to question his future. Should he join another club and get regular football?”
