Robert Snodgrass delivers Twitter verdict on West Ham draw v Watford
By Danny Wright
Robert Snodgrass was happy to see his West Ham side walk away from Vicarage Road with a point on Saturday.
The 29-year-old took to his personal Twitter page admit his side picked up a good point at Watford in the end after Andre Ayew scored a 73rd minute equaliser for the Hammers.
Troy Deeney put Watford ahead when he converted a penalty in the third minute and Michail Antonio was sent off in the closing stages of the game but Snodgrass believes that the travelling Hammers support were fantastic throughout the 90 minutes.
“Good point in the end. The lads were superb second half and the fans were different class all game,” he said.
West Ham threw away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2 in the clash at the London Stadium earlier in the season, so a point against a Watford side who are improving each week is a decent result.
Snodgrass arrived at West Ham in January when he secured a £10.2million switch from Hull.
His appearance at Vicarage Road was his fourth for Slaven Bilic’s side, but he is yet to provide a goal or assist for his new side despite contributing a lot to Hull’s cause in the first half of the campaign.
Snodgrass scored nine goals for the Humberside club this season before moving to the capital.
The Scottish international has also had spells at Norwich, Leeds and Livingstone and has picked up 20 caps for his country.
