Robinson: Gil will be a 'massive' player for Tottenham as Paratici's first window rated
Paul Robinson claims Fabio Paratici should have strengthened other areas during his first transfer window at Tottenham.
The former Spurs stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted as the transfer window slammed shut.
Tottenham signed Bryan Gil, Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero, Pepe Sarr and Gianluigi Gollini this summer.
Paratici joined Tottenham as their managing director this summer and took responsibility for the club’s transfer business.
The latest signing came on deadline day as the club captured right-back Emerson from Barcelona.
Robinson claims Spurs are still light in the centre half position but claims Gil will be a top player once he is given a chance in the Premier League.

“It’s been a busy window,” Robinson told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“There are areas I would have liked to see the club strengthen and they haven’t.
“There are players, like Emerson, where there is plenty of stock in that area.
“Romero is a good one, an astute signing. Gil, again astute, I think he’s a really good player.
“I think he’s going to be a massive player when he gets his opportunity in the Premier League.
“When you look at the likes of Gil, Son and Bergwjin you see why Spurs wouldn’t pay for Traore.
“They were not going to pay that much when there’s that much talent already.
“I think we’re short and centre half and we need cover for Kane. The players Paratici has brought in, I’ve been impressed with.
“But I think there are some areas he missed.”
