Robinson issues ‘150 per cent’ Moura claim as horror Tottenham reveal emerges

Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Tottenham attacker Lucas Moura despite his poor display against West Ham.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one claimed the 29-year-old is immune from criticism because of his work rate on and off the ball.

Spurs produced a dismal second half display to lose 1-0 at West Ham on Sunday.

However, Robinson refused to point the finger at the Brazilian winger and instead blamed the collective.

“I will never criticise Lucas Moura for the way he plays,” he told Football Insider.

“He gives everything to the team. It just did not happen for him yesterday.

“He was playing in a team that was playing poorly. This team has no identity or style. I don’t think the players know how they are meant to play.

“I just think Lucas Moura had a bad day.

“Regardless of when and where he plays, you get 150 per cent from him. His energy with and without the ball is second to none. It was a bad day at the office for him but he was certainly not alone.

“I will never criticise Lucas Moura because he puts everything in for the Spurs shirt. He is constantly trying to do the right thing with or without the ball.”

In other news, Tottenham are plotting a bid to sign a colossus in January and Nuno wanted him at Wolves.
