Robinson shares bold Kane prediction after what he's seen from Tottenham star
Paul Robinson has backed Tottenham striker Harry Kane to explode in the latter stages of the Euros after scoring against Germany.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one claimed the 27-year-old had a weight lifted off his shoulder after Tuesday night’s win.
England’s captain scored his first goal of the tournament in a 2-0 victory over Germany at Wembley.
Kane was widely criticised for his performances in the group stages, with some suggesting his drop-off was a result of the transfer speculation surrounding his name.
As revealed by Football Insider on 29th April, the centre-forward is “hell bent” on leaving Spurs this summer with Manchester City interested.
When asked by Football Insider his assessment of Kane’s performance on Tuesday, Robinson said: “It was the best possible outcome the other night.

“A win against Germany and a goal for Harry Kane.
“He is a striker who is out of form and searching for confidence. It was one of those situations that we talk about quite often with strikers where they need one to go in off their knee or their shin.
“Kane got his goal and now you expect him to propel them onto the final.
“England’s captain, talisman and goalscorer will be full of confidence going into games against Ukraine and hopefully Denmark or Czech Republic.
“There have been question marks over him and he looked like a man with a lot of weight on his shoulders. It all seemed to lift after the Germany game though.”
