Rodgers to wrap up last-gasp seven-figure deal as top-flight player arrives at Celtic - reliable journalist

Jack Hendry is expected to arrive at Celtic shortly to wrap up a £1m deal, according to a reliable journalist.
Stephen McGowan, the Scottish Daily Mail Chief Football Writer, announced the news on his personal Twitter page on Wednesday night.

Clubs have until 1am to announce a deal as long as all the paperwork is received by 11pm, which means Celtic don’t have long to wrap the deal up.
The Scottish Sun’s live transfer blog (31/01 01:36) on their website had claimed that Dundee wanted £1.5million for the player, but it looks like they’ve agreed a compromise.
The 22-year-old Dundee centre-back will add even more defensive reinforcements to Brendan Rodgers’ side after Marvin Compper’s arrival from RB Leipzig.
Football Insider verdict:
This will be a great deal if Celtic can get it over the line and they must have the finer details in hand if they’re confident of getting the deal through in time. Rangers had been credited with a late interest in the player but Celtic were the favourites to land his signature and it looks like they’re going to seal the deal with Hendry preferring the Scottish champions to a stay at Ibrox. With just an hour to go until the deadline it will be tight but definitely one to watch if you’re a Celtic fan.
