Rogers and Solanke react to Tosin comments on Chelsea ‘mission’
Tosin Adarabioyo has sent a message of intent as he looks for more success with Chelsea, with Morgan Rogers and Dominic Solanke among those to react.
The 2024/25 season will be seen as a successful one for the Stamford Bridge club, as new manager Enzo Maresca won the Conference League and qualified for the Champions League in his first season in charge.
However, the Blues’ work for the summer is not done yet, with the Premier League side now in action in the Club World Cup.
Earlier in the tournament, Tosin impressed for Chelsea as they beat ES Tunis in their final group game to secure their place in the knockout stages.

Tosin Adarabioyo reflects on win over Benfica
On Saturday night (28 June), Maresca‘s side faced Portuguese giants Benfica in the round of 16 of the competition.
The Blues took the lead in that game thanks to a stunning free kick from Reece James, only for the match to be suspended with just five minutes of normal time remaining due to extreme weather.
With the match eventually resuming after a long delay, Chelsea conceded a controversial penalty in stoppage time for what was judged to be a Malo Gusto handball.
Angel Di Maria then converted the spot kick to take the game to extra time, where goals from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall finally sealed the win for the Blues.
That ensures they will now face Palmeiras in the quarter finals next week. Taking to Instagram to reflect on that result, Tosin wrote: “The mission continues. Up the Chels.”
Aston Villa ace Rogers has been linked with Chelsea this summer, and he showed his support for his former Man City youth teammate by liking that post.
Tottenham striker Solanke also did the same, as did several of Tosin’s current teammates such as Dewsbury-Hall, Gusto, James, Neto, Robert Sanchez, Liam Delap, Marc Cucurella and Romeo Lavia.
Chelsea eyeing further success
Football Insider Verdict
Having ended the season positively in England and Europe, it will be a relief for the Blues that they are now succeeding on the global stage too.
With little break between last season and next, at least having some momentum going into the new campaign could be important for Chelsea.
The way the fixtures have fallen for them has been reasonably kind too, and so the pressure would have grown on Maresca again had they not made it this far.
They will once again be favourites in their quarter final with Palmeiras, although Chelsea have already lost to one Brazilian side in Flamengo during the tournament.
As a result they will not be taking that task for granted, particularly given the opportunity that will present itself if they can get another win in that game.
