Ronaldinho raves over one Tottenham man in astounding prediction for club success
Brazilian footballing legend Ronaldinho has said that Tottenham striker Harry Kane could walk into any club in the world but that he could help fire Spurs to Champions League success this season.
The England striker has been on red hot form during the current campaign and has been scoring at a rate of nearly a goal-per-game, with 35 strikes in his 36 appearances across all competitions.
He has already scored over 20 Premier League goals for the fourth consecutive season, and is leading the way for a third golden boot award after picking up the top scorer honour back-to-back for the last two years.
Now former Barcelona star Ronaldinho has been raving over the 24-year-old, and believes any and every club across Europe would make space in their squad for Kane if they were to sign him, although does not see why Spurs could not pick up the top trophy on the continent this season with him up front.
He was quoted by the Mirror as saying: “Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, it doesn’t matter how strong the team, he is now one of those few players in the world that any team would have to make room for if they had the chance to sign him.
“He is now at the level where any team in the world would want him.
“Why can’t Spurs win The Champions League this season? With all respect they do not have the pressure or expectation on them yet in the competition that say Barcelona, Madrid, or Bayern do and that could work for them.
“They don’t have the pressure on them to do it but they have the players to be able to win it – anything is possible.”
The Brazilian’s prediction will come as astounding to many considering the club’s lack of pedigree in Europe’s premier club competition, and would be a remarkable step forward after their disappointing campaign last season, where they finished third in the group stage before suffering an exit at the hands of Gent in the Europa League.
This season they went unbeaten in their group, and will host Juventus in the second leg of the knock out stage after a 2-2 draw in Turin.
