Pontus Jansson is set to captain Sweden tomorrow in the game against Romania on Tuesday night and fans have given mixed messages to the news on Twiter.

It was reported by Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post after a tweet from Olof Lundh a Swedish journalist.

The news was then confirmed by Peter Jansson, Pontus’ brother on Twitter.

It will be his 13th cap but the first since June in 2017 and bodes well for his inclusion in the squad to go to the World Cup finals in June.

Leeds fans were in two minds about the news, with one saying that it would put an extra five million on his valuation if he were to leave in the summer.

Another said that he should be the captain of Leeds as he’s a much better option than Liam Cooper.

However one fan disagreed with this saying, “Rubbish. He doesn’t talk.”
