Morgan Schneiderlin delivers Twitter message to Everton fans

By Emma Sanders

Morgan Schneiderlin has sent Everton fans a message on Twitter following his move from Manchester United.

The midfielder has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with Everton, the club announced on Thursday afternoon.

The club’s official website reported that Schneiderlin has joined the Toffees for a £20million transfer fee that could rise to £24million.

Schneiderlin claimed he was “delighted” to make the switch and has suggested he could make his first appearance for the club in Sunday’s blockbuster fixture against Manchester City.

The 27-year-old fell out of favour with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United this season so he will be eager to make a mark in Ronald Koeman’s side.

The two have worked together before and Schneiderlin excelled under the Blues’ boss at Southampton during the 2014-15 season before sealing a move to United.

Schneiderlin has made just eight appearances this season and only three in the Premier League but he could be in line to make his Everton debut against City.

The midfielder’s move to Everton was announced just minutes before it was revealed former Manchester United star Tom Cleverley has left as part of a loan move to Watford.

Everton striker Oumar Niasse is also set to agree a loan deal with Hull after undergoing a medical.

In other Everton news, this is why Schneiderlin will succeed with the Blues.
