Scott Hogan: This is why Aston Villa will be confident next season
By Derek Smithson
Scott Hogan feels that Aston Villa will be confident next season due to the experience of their manager Steve Bruce.
The Midlands giants will be aiming to get out of the Championship next year following on from their 13th-placed finish last season.
They struggled during their first taste of the Championship and Bruce could only guide them to a mid-table finish following his appointment in October.
However, the 56-year-old is considered to be a promotion expert and will be aiming for success after having two transfer windows under his belt.
Villa forward Hogan was one of the players to arrive in January and there is likely to be more recruitments in the summer too.

The striker had revealed that his side will be confident going into next season and that they fully support their manager.
“I’m very confident we’ll do well next season,” Hogan said, as quoted by the club’s official website. “The manager is the man to do it, he’s done it before. We all want him.
“He’s a massive part of some of the boys coming here. We are confident with him in charge because we know what he’s going to do.”
Bruce will be looking to be a key player next season and recapture his best form in front of goal.
He managed 15 goals across all competitions last season, but only one of them came for Villa and the rest were scored for former club Brentford.
Bruce will need to identify who he wants to help steer them towards a promotion challenge and he has shown in the past his know-how.
The Englishman has achieved promotion four times from the Championship during his managerial career, twice with Hull and twice with Birmingham.
