Sean Dyche told to axe £34m Nottingham Forest star who’s a ‘waste of a shirt’

Nottingham Forest supporters have blasted summer signing Dan Ndoye for his poor performance in their 2-0 loss to Brighton over the weekend.

Dan Ndoye joined Nottingham Forest from Bologna for £34million [Sky Sports] in the summer transfer window, but he has failed to live up to expectations at the City Ground so far.

The Swiss international has scored once in his first 12 Premier League games for the club, with his poor run continuing as Sean Dyche‘s side slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Brighton on Sunday (30 November).

Brighton were dominant in the East Midlands and goals late in each half from Maxim De Cuyper and Stefanos Tzimas sealed their win to keep Forest 16th in the top-flight table.

Forest have the chance to put things right against struggling Wolves in midweek, but Ndoye may find himself out of the starting eleven following his poor performance.

Dan Ndoye struggled to impress during defeat to Brighton

Ndoye was poor in Forest’s October loss to Bournemouth, and it was a familiar story against Brighton as their first defeat since that game saw him make very little positive impact.

The 25-year-old lined up on the right-wing, as opposed to his favoured left, and lasted just 45 minutes before being hauled off at half-time for Omari Hutchinson.

He only touched the ball 18 times in the first-half, with just two of those coming in the Brighton box, while he did not have a shot on goal, failed both of his attempted dribbles and lost all three of his attempted ground duels.

On the flip side of Ndoye’s dismal showing, fellow summer signing Hutchinson impressed after he came on, with four chances created, four dribbles completed from four attempted, and six of his seven ground duels won.

Forest fans urge Dyche to drop Ndoye after ‘abysmal’ performance

Reds boss Dyche admitted after the game that he felt Hutchinson had done “a very good job” after coming on, and he is now “knocking on the door” to start for their upcoming matches.

Forest supporters want to see Ndoye dropped for the young winger, with many fans flocking to X to slate the Swiss international, as one said: “How Ndoye starts every game I will never know, he offers nothing going forward.”

Another said: “Dan ndoye needs dropping. Not producing the goods,” while one supporter added: “I have not seen anything from Dan Ndoye all season from an attacking sense! People keep telling me he’s decent and works hard….but that should be a given…crap and we keep accepting it!”
