First team Tottenham attacker delivers dream verdict over his future - discusses potential exit
Tottenham star Christian Eriksen has said that he is not even thinking about a potential exit from the club and that he is simply eyeing up some silverware in the future.
The Danish international has been one of the club’s most important players as they pushed their way from European hopefuls to title contenders, with a total of 217 appearances under his belt.
Having put pen to paper on a new deal until 2020 back in 2016, his future has been tied down, and despite Europe’s top clubs reportedly hunting his capture, he has delivered a verdict that all Tottenham fans will consider a dream.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder told the Mirror, who claim another new deal is on the way: “To be honest, I do not think about [interest from elsewhere].
“Dreams are one thing, but they are only realistic when [an offer] is on the table.
“We have still had an absolutely positive season so far. Yes, [I can win trophies with Spurs]. If you think where Tottenham was when I came to where we are now.

“Now people look at us as title candidates whereas previously we had to fight to get into the top four and even the top six.
“We may have to build and build to become capable of winning a trophy but we are on the way the right track.”
This season has seen Eriksen score 11 goals and chip in with 10 assists in 38 outings, including a brace against Swansea City to help the club to the FA Cup semi finals.
Football Insider verdict
It is almost as if a Tottenham fan themselves has written Eriksen’s words, for it is exactly what they would want to hear. Eriksen is a pivotal member of the squad and it looks as though it will remain that way for the foreseeable future – although you can never say never in football. However, his comments on silverware suggest that must be the next step to ensure the current group of players are considered a success, and after years of building what looks an impressive side, keeping them together is going to be the next challenge. Trophies will help their cause, but splashing the cash on new contracts will also be crucial.
