Shearer delivers hilarious response to reported £35m interest in Arsenal attacker

Alan Shearer has given a hilarious response on Twitter to Paris Saint-Germain’s reported interest in Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez.

Sky Sports have claimed that French giants PSG are set to make a £35million offer for the attacker next week.

The 28-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and has made it clear he wants to play in the Champions League next season, but the Gunners have only qualified for the Europa League.

Shearer has joked about the imminent £35million bid from PSG and believes that the valuation is far too low.

“£35million. Do they just want his left foot?” Shearer wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Sanchez was one of the outstanding players in the Premier League last season and his versatility saw him play as both a left winger and central striker for Arsenal.

The Chile international was crucial to the club’s campaign and made 51 appearances across all competitions.

He managed to score 30 goals and supply 19 assists in return, helping him earn a PFA Player of the Year nomination.

PSG’s £35million sum may be a reflection of the 12 years he has remaining on his deal at the Emirates Stadium and are keen to get a good deal.

Sanchez has proven his qualities in England in recent years as a goalscorer and has done likewise in Spain with Barcelona.
