Paddy Kenny rubbishes Ramsdale exit claim at Sheffield United
Slavisa Jokanovic will be deeply concerned about Aaron Ramsdale leaving Sheffield United – even if his rhetoric suggests the opposite.
So says Bramall Lane legend Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Blades boss’s recent remarks concerning Ramsdale.
Quoted by Examiner Live on 31st July, Jokanovic claimed he is “not worried” about the possibility of the young goalkeeper leaving.
The 23-year-old, whose United contract runs until 2024, has been the subject of serious interest from Arsenal this summer.
Ramsdale started between the sticks as the Blades lost 1-0 to Birmingham City on the opening day of the Championship yesterday (7th August).
Kenny claims that it is only natural for Jokanovic to be worried about losing his number one goalkeeper.

“They’ve got Wes Foderingham there,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“But I think he’s got to be concerned. It’s getting late on in the window and if he leaves they’ll be leaving themselves a little bit short.
“Fodderingham is a keeper who hasn’t really played a huge amount of football for Sheffield United in the past. It’s a massive jump in quality.
“Unless he’s been told by the club that under no circumstances will he be going. That’s the only thing I can think of. If that’s the case then fair enough.“
Ramsdale signed for United from Bournemouth in a reported £18.5million deal last summer.
He started all 38 of the Blades’ Premier League matches in 2020-21 as they finished bottom of the table.
