Kenny fears 'massive loss' after news on Arsenal reported Ramsdale swoop
It would be a “massive loss” if Sheffield United were to lose Aaron Ramsdale to Arsenal this summer.
That is according to Blades legend Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Athletic reported on 28th June that the Gunners have made initial contact with United over the 23-year-old.
The Star claimed the following day that United value the shot-stopper at £40million.
Ramsdale, who is currently with England at the Euros, signed a four-year deal when he joined the Blades for £18.5m last summer.
Kenny claimed that it would be a big blow for Slavisa Jokanovic’s side to lose Ramsdale but that it would be difficult to stand in his way.
“It would be a massive loss,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“He didn’t have the best start but he started playing really well towards the back end of the season.
“In the last three or four months, he’s shown us how good he can be and managed to get himself into that England setup.
“It’s an area where you like to keep stable but they had Henderson for a while who was only on loan and Ramsdale has only been there a year.
“So it’s not ideal but if there’s a chance for him to go to Arsenal, it’s a tough one for him to turn down because they are a massive club.”
Ramsdale featured 38 times in the top-flight last season.
His United side were relegated at the end of the campaign.
