Sam Winall played the full 90 minutes in Sheffield Wednesday’s Friday evening clash with Birmingham – and Wednesday supporters on Twitter were delighted with his display.
The 26-year-old striker was highly energetic out on the field and a number of chances fell to him before he nestled the ball home with a fine header late into the second half
Fellow January forward signing Jordan Rhodes also got on the score sheet for Wednesday alongside substitute Adam Reach in the 3-0 win at Hillsborough.
A number of supporters were willing Winnall to bag a goal for his efforts across the 90 minutes and a large number were keen to express their delight on social media.
Meanwhile, others were keen to hail him for his high workrate.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Winnall made the switch across Yorkshire from Barnsley in January after scoring 48 goals in 115 matches for the club.
Of those goals 11 came for the Tykes in 21 matches in the Championship this season and he will now be hoping to get off the mark for Wednesday as they quest for a play-off position.
