'That would be a sight' - Murty discusses potential lethal Rangers striker partnership

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has revealed he could field both Jason Cummings and Alfredo Morelos in the same starting XI after Cummings grabbed his first goal for the club.
The 22-year-old came off the bench to score the winner in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Ross County in Dingwall and fire the Gers back into second place in the Scottish Premiership standings.
Cummings has replaced Morelos in both of his appearances for Murty’s side since completing a season-long loan move from Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
Murty admitted that the potentially lethal striker partnership of Cummings and Morelos would “be a sight to see” in the same side and revealed that he was delighted with the options available to him.
“That would be a sight to see, wouldn’t it, with Alfredo and Jason?” Murty said, as quoted by the Evening Times.
“We have played a diamond previously, you could have Josh in there, Murphy in there, Docherty coming off the bench, the resources I have at my disposal – and that’s before anyone comes back from injury – are great and they are strong and actually they are going to push us to a better place.”
Former Hibs striker Cummings was a second-half sub in the wins over Ross County and Aberdeen and has quickly become a fan favourite with the Ibrox support.
Prolific Colombian Alfredo Morelos is the top goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership so far this season with 11 league goals in 22 appearances since joining the Ibrox giants from Finnish champions HJK Helsinki over the summer.
The Light Blues face Highland League minnows Fraserburgh on Wednesday night in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup at tiny Bellslea Park with a tie agaist Ayr United awaiting the winners in the next round.
