Sign him up: Everton fans react on Twitter to 23-year-old display v Liverpool

By Harvey Byrne

Wolves attacker Helder Costa played 67 minutes against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, and Everton fans on Twitter were very impressed by what they saw.

The 23-year-old was placed on the right and was met with the challenge of facing Alberto Moreno down his flank.

The former Portugal Under-21 international seemed to flourish on the big stage, finishing with two assists and could have bagged one himself after a blistering run which started in his own half.

He played a big role in helping Wolves to beat the Merseyside giants in a shock 2-1 away victory and Toffees fans on social media were begging for their club to sign him.

News outlet HITC had reported that Everton were eyeing the attacker earlier in the week and fans are now eager for their side to get the deal done before Tuesday’s deadline.

Costa is currently on loan at the Midlands side from Portuguese giants Benfica after joining on a season-long deal.

He has played in 29 encounters in total for the second tier side this season, bringing a return of nine goals and eight assists.

The attacker is quickly becoming a big name in England and he will hope to continue to raise his stock with a potential big money move waiting in the summer.
