Simon Jordan makes Aston Villa claim ahead of Birmingham clash
By Harvey Byrne
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has claimed that Aston Villa fans’ Christmases can come at once, as they can still help relegate fierce rivals Birmingham with former boss Steve Bruce.
Now, Villa can no longer be promoted this season as they sit 15 points off the play-off spots with just three matches remaining in the current Championship campaign.
However, of those fixtures includes one against rivals Birmingham, which is coming up next on Sunday at Villa Park.
The Blues are currently still battling in the league table as they sit just three points and two places off the relegation zone and Jordan has shared on his personal Twitter account that all of the Christmases can come at once for the Villa faithful if they help relegate their rivals with Bruce.

Bruce, 56, managed Birmingham for six years between 2001 and 2007, helping them win promotion to the Premier League twice during his time in charge.

He has now helped Villa improve on their poor start to the campaign under former boss Robert Di Matteo and he will be hoping the club can make a claim for promotion themselves next season.
However, fans will be delighted if the club are able to play a part in Birimingham’s relegation to League One after they appointed Harry Redknapp on Tuesday.
In other Aston Villa news, Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to Redknapp’s appointment.
