Six senior players axed in Bruce 4-2-3-1: Aston Villa best possible XI to face Derby
COMMENT by Amir Mir
Steve Bruce should make six changes to the Aston Villa team that takes on Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
Villa will be hoping to end a five-match losing streak and Bruce should react and drop a number of his senior players.
Alan Hutton, Tommy Elphick, Henri Lansbury, Birkir Bjarnason, the injured Scott Hogan and Jonathan Kodjia should be axed from the starting XI.
As a result, Bruce should freshen up the team and add a number of youngsters to a side that is dropping down the Championship table at an alarming rate.
James Bree, Nathan Baker, Jack Grealish, Andre Green, Albert Adomah and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy should be the players that come into the starting XI.

With Hogan set to spend some time on the sidelines with an ankle injury and his strike partner Kodjia also going off injured during the last game Hepburn-Murphy should be given a start.
The academy product will provide some much-needed freshness to the team with the likes of Grealish, Green and Adomah providing the service around him.
Furthermore, the experienced duo of Conor Hourihane and Mile Jedinak would look to dominate the middle of the park against the promotion chasers.
In defence, Baker should partner James Chester, with the returning Bree providing more energy at right-back despite Hutton being one of the club’s more consistent performers.
In other Aston Villa news, Garry Thompson has launched a scathing attack on the players for their treatment of Scott Hogan.
