Sky Sports: Ambitious PL side ready stunning swoop for Celtic star - number one target
Premier League side Bournemouth are ready to beat the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham to the capture of Celtic defender Kieran Tierney with an ambitious swoop this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The broadcaster claim on their website that the Hoops’ 20-year-old has been named the Cherries’ top target and that the side which sit 12th in the English top flight are ready to make what would be a stunning swoop to snap up the left back.

Tierney, who is a graduate of the Bhoys’ youth academy, put pen to paper on a six year deal back in October 2017, keeping him at the club until 2023, and has made 53 appearances for his boyhood side this season, scoring four times and chipping in with 11 assists.
Football Insider verdict
Celtic fans will have their sides splitting at the thought of Bournemouth trying to poach their brightest star from Parkhead this summer. You just have to look at the sort of sides who are also following his progress and realise that the Cherries are trying to punch way above their weight. Why would Tierney leave Celtic, a club he loves, is a favourite at, is competing for regular titles and also appearing in the Champions League, for a mid-table English side? The only answer is money, but at 20, Tierney seems to have his head screwed on straight and is more focused on playing football for the sake of it, rather than the financial benefits. If he does leave Celtic this summer, it is for a big boy either in the English top flight or even possibly overseas. Bournemouth will have to revisit their shortlist and head to number two, because Tierney is not going to be heading to Dean Court any time soon – at least not in the black and red stripes.
