Sky Sports journalist: Newcastle speed machine in talks over loan exit to relegation battlers
Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons is in talks to secure a loan move to struggling Championship side Hull City in a deadline day deal, according to a journalist.
Sky Sports’ north east reporter Keith Downey has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the two clubs are in negotiations to secure a move for the 22-year-old, after struggling to break into the first team this season.

The young speed machine has managed to make just six appearances for the Magpies’ senior side during the current campaign, just two of those coming among the starting XI, as he has battled with Matt Ritchie, Christian Atsu and Jacob Murphy for a role under Rafael Benitez.
Hull currently sit 21st in England’s second tier, level on points with Bolton Wanderers in the relegation zone.
Football Insider verdict
Newcastle seem to think that Aarons may well have something to offer despite his lack of first team action and a temporary spell away from the club seems like a good decision for all parties. He has struggled with fitness and injuries over the past couple of seasons so regular playing time will help build up his confidence, while also boosting his development. The loan arrival of Chelsea’s Kenedy is likely to have been the catalyst for this move, so he would have faced a real fight to see any further game time this season had he remained at St James’ Park.
