Sky Sports pundit: This is what Wenger will do against Tottenham
By Amir Mir
Sky Sports pundit Shaun Goater believes Arsene Wenger will play five at the back when Arsenal take on Tottenham this Sunday at White Hart Lane.
The Frenchman has changed tactics and formations in recent weeks following a spate of bad results for the club which saw them drop out of the top four.
He has opted to play three centre-backs added with two wing-backs which have seen them win three matches on the bounce.
Those wins came against Middlesbrough in the league, knocking Manchester City out of the FA Cup and beating Leicester City 1-0 on Wednesday night.
Speaking to the Premier League Daily Show, which aired on Sky Sports News on Thursday morning, former City striker Goater explained what Wenger might do against Spurs.

“I could see him playing five at the back,” Goater told Sky Sports. “Certainly against Tottenham.
“Tottenham will want to throw their full-backs, go forward and I could see him playing with the wing-backs to nullify the full-backs and try to exploit when they do go forward.”
Arsenal are not the only team playing three at back, with Mauricio Pochettino also using that tactic successfully in recent seasons.
The Argentine deployed that system when his team beat Crystal Palace 1-0 away from home on Wednesday night as his side closed the gap on leaders Chelsea to four points.
Despite a tough match, Christian Eriksen’s long-range goal helped his team secure a much-needed three points leading up to the north London derby.
It could be likely that both managers play the same system as they aim to win the bragging rights for their fans befoe the season ends.
In other Tottenham news, Thierry Henry has made a big claim about Spurs’ quality when comparing them to Arsenal’s.
