By Amir Mir

Theirry Henry has made a big claim by stating that both Arsenal and Tottenham have the same quality on paper leading up to the north London derby on Sunday.

The former Premier League striker was in agreement that Arsene Wenger’s side have not turned up at big games this season but was firm about the quality in their squad.

When looking at the table, second-placed Spurs are 14 points ahead of sixth-placed Arsenal, who are in danger of missing out on a Champions League place.

The London duo picked valuable points leading up to their fixture this weekend when they beat Crystal Palace and Leicester respectively on Wednesday night.

Speaking on the North London Derby, the Gloves are off, which aired on Sky Sports 1 on Wednesday evening, this is what Henry said about Spurs’ quality.

“The quality on paper, yes,” Henry told Souness when questioned about whether he thinks on paper both clubs have the same quality.

Henry was then grilled by Souness when asked, how many [big] games have Arsenal won on paper? “None,” The Frenchman responded.

“I think Arsenal should do better because the quality is almost the same.”

Tottenham recorded a 1-1 draw at the Emirates in November when Harry Kane helped his team pick up a point away from home.

Kane has scored 20 league goals in 24 matches during his injury-hit campaign added with his five assists.

By contrast, Arsenal main man, Alexis Sanchez has played 31 league games, scoring 19 goals and supplying ten assists.

Both men will be looking to fire their teams to victory at the weekend, knowing dropped points could prove to be significant in their respective title and top four races.

Spurs are four points behind leaders Chelsea while Arsenal are four points behind Manchester City, who occupy the final top four spot.
