Bilic: West Ham playmaker was in my office for talks on Monday

Slaven Bilic has reassured fans that West Ham playmaker Dimitri Payet is fully focused on playing for the club following showdown talks in his office on Monday.
According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Manchester United were preparing a huge bid to test the Hammers resolve in the upcoming January transfer window.
Speaking ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Burnley, Bilic revealed, as quoted by West Ham’s official Twitter account, that Payet is concentrating solely on the rest of the Hammers 2016-17 campaign.
“I spoke to Payet in my office on Monday and he is only thinking about our season,” Bilic declared. “He is fully focused on the next few games.”

Payet, who was shortlisted among the 30 contenders to win the Ballon d’Or this year, has been rumoured to leave after the Hammers woeful start to the Premier League season.

The France international has not lived up to his lofty expectations after starring for the East London side last term.
Scoring 15 times last season, Payet provided assists for 17 other strikes as the Hammers qualified for Europa League football.
But with Bilic’s side sitting just one point above the relegation zone, Payet has struck just three times in 16 league and cup encounters.
Fans will be hoping that Payet can look to reignite his 2015-16 form against Premier League new boys Burnley on Wednesday night, after scoring a trademark free-kick past Liverpool’s Loris Karius on Sunday afternoon.
A win for the east London outfit could see them leapfrog Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace to a safer 15th place, as they look to take advantage of Burnley’s dismal away record.
In other West Ham news, Bilic is reportedly plotting a £20million move for this Serie A striker in January.
