Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been pictured leaving Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium on crutches with his foot in a hard plastic foot case.
Fan led podcast The Last Word on Spurs have revealed a photo on their Twitter account of the 24-year-old departing the south coast club’s home ground after the Lilywhites picked up an impressive 4-1 win over the Cherries, although had to do it without their star man.

Kane came off second best in a collision with Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, with the Spurs man’s ankle trapped between the leg of the shot stopper as they came together in the 28th minute, and any hopes of him making a speedy recovery were dashed as he hobbled down the tunnel to be replaced by Erik Lamela.
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed to Sky Sports that there could well be ligament damage to the ankle, and this photo will leave Spurs, as well as England fans sweating over the fitness of their star forward.
Football Insider verdict
The photo looks pretty bad but at this early stage supporters can still hope it is a precautionary measure and not a definitive sign of something serious. Without scans and tests there is no way to tell the damage caused, but admittedly these early signs do not look promising. While Kane’s absence would be a huge blow, Pochettino has insisted before that they are not a one man team, and this is now their chance to prove it. Fernando Llorente will likely lead the line against his former side Swansea in the FA Cup, but the form of Heung-min Son gives Pochettino some options up front.
In other Tottenham news, Chris Sutton says he’s rather have one Spurs star over Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez.
