Sorry Nuno, there is no place for you in five greatest-ever Wolves managers
1. Stan Cullis
It really could not be anyone else.
Cullis’ playing career at Wolves was interrupted by World War II, but his management spell between 1948 and 1964 was the true golden era of the football club.
Under his leadership, Wanderers won three First Division titles and were also runners-up on three occasions.
Cullis also led the club to two FA Cups with both triumphs coming 11 years apart, firstly against Leicester in 1949 and then Blackburn in 1960.
In other Wolves news, the club are in pole position to snap up this in-demand defender from a North-East club.
