3. Louis Saha
The France international made his name at Manchester United, who he joined in 2004 for £15.75million, before moving onto Everton for free four years later.
It proved to be a great bit of business for Everton, who might have got Saha past his best, but still a striker who could score at will in the Premier League.
He stayed at Everton for four years too, before joining Tottenham on a free transfer, and scored 34 goals in 115 games. How they’d love to find someone for free who could do that today.
