Sources: Big update on Aston Villa star Lamare Bogarde and potential permanent move
Aston Villa have no plans to sell Lamare Bogarde permanently in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Loan interest in the 20-year-old home-grown sensation is hotting up – but a well-placed source has told Football Insider that there is not likely to be a buy option in any potential deal.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (5 January) that Championship trio Southampton, Watford and Cardiff City are interested in taking Aston Villa youngster Bogarde on loan for the remainder of this season.

Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen are also keen on bringing him north of the border for the rest of their 2023-24 campaign.
All four sides have registered their interest in taking Bogarde on loan following his recall from a spell at Bristol Rovers.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (2 January) that it was always in Villa’s plans to terminate Bogarde’s spell at the Memorial Stadium this month before fixing him up with a new club for the second half of the season.
A well-placed source has revealed that the Midlands side want to take a look at the midfielder in action at a higher level before making a final decision on his future in the summer window.
The 19-year-old made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Gas this season and also spent the second half of last season on loan with the Rovers – making 19 appearances and assisting once.
Bogarde is under contract with the Midlands giants until June 2025.

He could join the likes of Finn Azaz, Jaden Philogene, Cameron Archer and Aaron Ramsey in being sold on for profit by Aston Villa in the coming months.
All four players came through the ranks at the Midlands club but have been deemed surplus to requirements and allowed to leave the club – but Bogarde will get the chance to impress in the Championship before a decision is made.
