Medical booked: Man United defender Laird set to join Bournemouth after breakthrough in talks – Sources
Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign Man United sensation Ethan Laird and he will undergo a medical in the next 48 hours, Football Insider has learned.
The 20-year-old right-back has spent the first half of the season on loan at Swansea City.
A United source has told Football Insider that Laird’s Swans deal is to be terminated and he is set to join their Championship rivals Bournemouth for the second half of the season.

Following a breakthrough in talks, the wide defender is scheduled to undergo a medical with the Cherries in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The news will come as a blow to Swansea given that Laird has been a key player in their team this season.
He was loaned out to the Liberty Stadium in the summer after spending the second half of last season with their manager Russell Martin when he was at MK Dons.
Laird has made a big impression at Swansea, making 18 starts among 21 appearances in all competitions and supplying four assists for the second-tier strugglers.
At United, his path to the first team is blocked by senior right-back pair Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot.
Nevertheless, the youngster is regarded highly at his parent club and has already played twice for the first team.

Both appearances, including one start, came in the Europa League group stages last season.
At Bournemouth, Laird will join a team well placed to secure Premier League promotion.
In other news, it can be revealed that two Man United stars are at “loggerheads” in the dressing room.
