Sources: Brighton star Steven Alzate agrees Standard Liege deal after West Brom collapse
Brighton midfielder Steven Alzate has completed a Standard Liege medical after agreeing terms, sources have told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old came close to joining West Brom on deadline day, but the move fell through after they failed to file the paperwork in time.
Brighton have given the green light to Alzate leaving and Belgian side Standard Liege are finalising a deal to sign the Colombian on loan.

It is believed the midfielder had the medical on Tuesday (6 September).
Sources told Football Insider last week (2 September) that West Brom had appealed to the EFL after submitting the paperwork for the Alzate and Josh Onomah loan deals after the transfer deadline.
They failed in their appeal leaving Alzate in limbo before Standard Liege firmed up their interest.
The six-time international, who still has two years left on his contract at the Amex, is yet to feature in the Premier League this season.
His opportunities will be limited even further after the Seagulls confirmed the deadline day signing of Billy Gilmour from Chelsea.
Alzate has never been a regular under Graham Potter but had proven a useful squad player over the past three seasons.
The defensive midfielder has played 51 times for Brighton across all competitions, including 27 Premier League starts.

Standard Liege are ninth in the Belgian Pro League having won three of their opening seven games.
They are next in action on Friday (9 September) when they face Sint-Truidense V.V.
In other news, an ex-Fifa official has suggested a VAR “technical fault” was to blame as controversial Alexis Mac Allister footage emerges at Brighton.
