Sources: Bristol Rovers in advanced talks to sign ex-Wolves star Collins
Bristol Rovers are in advanced talks to sign Forest Green striker Aaron Collins on a free transfer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The 24-year-old is out of contract at Forest Green at the end of this month and is set to depart on a free transfer.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Bristol Rovers are leading the chase for Collins and are hoping of luring him to the Memorial Ground.
He has also been the subject of interest from a number of rival League One and League Two clubs.
They have been keeping tabs on Collins knowing he is one of the best free agents on the market in the EFL.
Losing Collins to one of their League Two rivals is a big blow for Forest Green.

The forward played a key role in helping them reach the League Two play-offs last season.
Collins scored 11 goals and provided seven assists for Forest Green last term.
Manager Joey Barton sees him as the man who can help fire Bristol Rovers to promotion back to League One at the first time of asking.
Collins started his career at Newport and his form for the Welsh club helped earn him a move to Wolves.
But he failed to make the grade at Molineux, spending most of his time at the Midlands club out on loan.
He enjoyed temporary spells with Notts County, Tranmere Rovers, Maidstone United, Newport and Colchester United.
Collins then spent a season with Morecambe before moving to Forest Green last summer.
