Sources: Cardiff City agree to sign Jamilu Collins
Cardiff City have agreed to sign Nigerian defender Jamilu Collins on a free transfer, Football Insider understands.
The left-back, 27, is a free agent this summer after running down his contract at German club SC Paderborn.
A Cardiff source has told Football Insider that they have agreed terms with Collins and the deal should be completed soon.
The Championship club have been busy early in this summer’s transfer window and Collins is set to be the latest new arrival.
The Bluebirds have already announced deals for Ollie Tanner, Jak Alnwick and Ebou Adams in the past week.
As first revealed by Football Insider, the former of the trio was signed from Lewes after a successful trial period.

Alnwick and Adams joined on free transfers after leaving St Mirren and Forest Green respectively.
Manager Steve Morison is in the market for new defensive recruits and has moved swiftly to strike a deal for Collins.
The Nigeria international moved to Europe to join HNK Rijeka in 2012.
He spent five years with the Croatian outfit, with several loan spells under his belt, before leaving in 2017.
Collins joined Paderborn later that year and has gone on to play 137 times for the club.
He helped the German outfit secure back-to-back promotions from the third tier to the Bundesliga in his first two seasons.
The 25-cap international played 30 times in Germany’s top flight but was unable to save Paderborn from relegation.
He made 21 appearances across all competitions this season, with Paderborn finishing sixth in the Bundesliga 2 table.
Meanwhile, Cardiff are hoping to climb the Championship table next season after their 18th place finish.
