Sources: Chelsea plan to accept Aston Villa offer on one condition
Chelsea could be open to selling Trevoh Chalobah this summer if they sign a new senior centre-back.
Chalobah has been a mainstay at the back for Chelsea since Liam Rosenior’s arrival, but could depart Stamford Bridge for good this summer, depending on the club’s summer business.
Football Insider have revealed this week that Aston Villa have set their sights on signing Chalobah ahead of next season as an upgrade on Tyrone Mings.
The 26-year-old was heavily linked with an exit last summer after he struggled to impress following a return from a successful loan spell at Crystal Palace in January.
He has battled back and proved many doubters wrong in the last few months, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Chalobah could leave Chelsea for pastures new soon.

Chelsea may allow Trevoh Chalobah to leave if a new centre-back joins
Chalobah has featured 35 times for the Blues since the start of the season, with his centre-back partner changing week after week due to injuries and general rotation.
Chelsea were recently beaten to Jeremy Jacquet’s signature by Liverpool, and they are thought to remain in the market for a new centre-back as the summer approaches.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Things possibly could change if Chelsea were to bring in another centre-back, which they are understood to be looking to bring in in the summer window.
“They tried to sign Jacquet in the January window before losing out to Liverpool for him. They’ve got Levi Colwill to come back from injury as well.”

Chelsea leading Liverpool in race to sign Murillo
Murillo has emerged as one of the top-rated centre-backs in the Premier League over his last two-and-a-half years at Nottingham Forest.
The one-cap Brazil international’s impressive performances have seen him heavily linked away from the City Ground in the last few transfer windows, with Chelsea and Liverpool both keen admirers.

Football Insider understand that Chelsea are the current frontrunners to sign Murillo ahead of their Premier League rivals, with Forest set to demand over £70million for his services.
His potential arrival at Stamford Bridge this summer could well spell the end of Chalobah’s long stint at the club, especially with Villa now eyeing his signature.
