Sources: Clark Robertson agrees one-year deal after leaving Portsmouth
Clark Robertson has agreed a deal to join Israeli club F.C Ashdod after leaving Portsmouth, sources told Football Insider.
Robertson, 29, is a free agent after quitting Pompey and has rejected options in England, Scotland and India to make the move to the top-tier club.
The defender has agreed a one-year contract.
The 29-year-old joined Portsmouth in 2021 after completing a free transfer from Rotherham and is set to move to Israel following the expiration of his contract at the League One side.
Robertson captained Portsmouth to a top ten finish in the English third division this season, finishing in eighth place and six points behind Derby County.
The defender made 28 appearances for the club across all competitions and scored one goal and provided two assists in those outings.
Robertson also spent five years at Aberdeen where he made 68 appearances for the club before making the switch to England.
The former Scotland youth international was linked with a move to Derby back in January, as revealed by this site.
Rams boss Paul Warne was believed to be a big admirer of the defender having worked with him at Rotherham and was seen as a key addition to the squad, but he ultimately remained at Fratton Park.

Now Robertson is set to depart the English scene for a move to Israeli side F.C Ashdod despite offers from Scotland and England.
Ashdod compete in the top tier of the Israeli footballing league and finished sixth in the 2022-23 season.
